Yeah, this is a curious development but when has it been easy for a Mego fan?

Now there is a bunch of these on ebay in the $ 240.00 and up and ELectro and Lizard over a $ 100.00 each. Lots of scalpers in Anaheim

It's such a bottom-feeding move. I think Disney is trying to create a buzz around this. I wish they weren't.

Disney honestly seems to feed into this a lot with their exclusive park items, especially the popcorn buckets. It the reason theaters started issuing similar items. I guess it increases foot traffic, but just producing enough to meet demand and following a balanced release schedule seems a better way to make all their customers happy.

I am torn. This is annoying having to check regularly because of FOMO (it's not the same, but Big Lots exclusives and certain regular releases, like Green Arrow created this), but at the same time, maybe if Hasbro created more buzz around their Mego Ghostbusters and G.I. Joe releases, we would have seen more from those licenses instead of watching them go into deep clearance. Although, I know these properties are totally different and sales will be different because of that.

Disney had pretty good sale and promo codes running through the 15th, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Marvel 4-pack shows up this week, so we can't use them. ;-)

As of today, the last dated coming soon item shows January 13th. I'm still hoping the Spidey set's arrival and availability is imminent, though.
