    RIP Berto aka Blue Meanie

I am really sorry to announce that Roberto Ligotti has passed suddenly.

We hadn't spoken in some time but I always imagined we would again sometime.

Roberto was a fixture here and always contributed, he was generous with his knowledge and a true was part of this community. At MegoMeet he was always jovial and brought cool stuff but also his brother Tom into the Museum family.

I'll have more to say on this but I'd rather hear your recollections of him.

I remember running into him in person at a thrift store on Long Island early this century. He was prowling the record bins. I wanna say this was pre MegoCon so 2002 maybe?

Very sorry to hear this. He was always very nice at Mego Meet. I bought my last two original WGSH that I needdd from him as well as a Mego carrying case. He was a fixture around here in the early days and one of the most informative people here.

in my early days of the forum I interacted with Berto here on the forum, and got to know him later in life face to face. He even reached out to me when I lost my Dad in 2023.
A true gentleman and a class act, and we shared the same sense of humor. RIP my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Berto's passing. I met him at the few MegoMeets I have been to. He was always fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about Megos. I have a few items in my collection that I bought from him. My condolences to his family.

I’m sorry to hear of Berto’s passing. I first met Berto at the mego meet wheeling venue. I remember showing up to megomeet with a list of mego parts that I needed and Berto having everything and more. He allowed me to make payments on my two creature from the black lagoons as well as many others. I owe a lot of key pieces that I still own to this day to his help. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Berto. He sounds like one of those special people that you only meet a few times in this life. I'm glad I at least got to enjoy his postings here at the museum.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and those who know him.
