I think Hasbro will either rerelease current Tomy/Takara stuff. Possibly an official rebranding like they did with Transformers (merging Diaclone & Microchange & creating a whole new story) I don't think we will see any "vintage" reissues (please Hasbro rerelease Microchange) nor do I see a continuation of the original concept of interchangeability.
That being said I remeber reading somewhere that on of Hasbro's deigners or someone was a Micronaut fan & that it infuences the creation of the GI Joe 3 1/4" aliens .

I would love to have Hasbro bring back Hornetroid. That would make me so happy.Leave a comment:

I like that. Original Axoyer with his updated counterpart. NO ONLINE EXCLUSIVES THOUGH! I LOATHE exclusives. I want to find them at the mall.
I'm in agreement with some of the other posters - definitely gear this line more to kids than collectors (toys are meant to be played with after all, and the Micronauts were massive amounts of fun to play with when I was a kid). But, to show some collector love, maybe Hasbro could do some two pack deals - a retro figure paired with its modern counterpart, say Acroyear (in red of course ;D) for a start - that we could get online. This way everybody wins!
Geez, first Marty gets the Mego name back, we get the return of the WGSH thanks to Marty, Dr. Mego and Mattel, we're getting new Megos from ZICA Toys and Castaway, now the return of the Micronauts... it's like the 70's again without the disco and bad fashions (my sincerest apologies to PlaidStallions - I kid because I love!)!!!Leave a comment:

>it would just be cheaper and faster to release Microman figures as Microman?
Yeah; especially considering they've already sold a few lines here in N. America, and thanks to the internets it's possible for a new fan to get the original story. There's a LOT going on with the original story though; so you might have to play catch-up.
Say.... is it possible that a movie/tv show might be a dub of a planned Japanese one? Kids seem to like them Japanese cartoons.

Works for me. I would dearly love to see comic book versions and old faves like Galactic Defender and Repto but if they do only new stuff, then I'm out of it but my boys will get their OWN Micros. These were not neccesarily my favorite toys as a kid but they got played with more than any others between me, my cousin and my 2 best friends. I've shown the ones I have left to my boys and they absolutely LOVE them. My youngest is a Lego junkie and the fact that you can pull the Mivronaut toys apart and rearrange them is just his kind of thing. He was off his nut when I let him play with my Star Defender. They used their Teen Titans figures in the Micronaut vehicles they made. My oldest thinks Force COmmander is the coolest thing ever.

retro? hmm perhaps but i can only see re-imagine versions for the up coming film. which is alright with me.Leave a comment:

I could see Hasbro doing something along the lines of SOTA's planned Micronauts Evolution except in 3 3/4 inch scale. The Mego names and characters but with updated sculpts.
That's my guess anyways.Leave a comment:

I agree, Hasbro may tip its hat to collectors in some way, but for the most part this will be an all new line up using current MicroMan stuff. Thats ok with me! Since they are talking movie, I'm betting an animated series is in the works too! Speculating of course, but it seems a no brainer these days, and Hasbro has the clout to get it done.
Wonder who will do it and when the Clownarounds line will return? With a Smurf movie and merchandise juggernaut due next year, this may not be as goofy and farfetched as it sounds!? On the other hand, with Matty and Hasbro picking up all of Mego's lines....what is the new Mego planning on producing (besides the pet rock thing)?Leave a comment:

I wonder if we will see comic packs in the same way we saw GI Joe and Secret Wars?
I think this is some great news!Leave a comment:

No offense to us collectors, but I'd love to see a retro line aimed at kids- commercials, comics, the whole new multi-platform approach.Leave a comment:

I think a lot of people think this is going to be straight reissues, I'm willing to bet that current Takara Microman toys will be used and it will be strongly marketed to kids.
I'm going to love seeing commercials.Leave a comment:
