So true! To this day I still have no idea what ever happened to most of the toys I had as a kid.

Oh I know what happend to mine. My mom finally fest up and told me one day she took all my stuff that she thought I was no longer interested in anymore and tossed them all out in a spring cleaning moment of insanity after I showed her a price guide she looked at me and said "Well how was I supposed to know" Ah Mom's you got to love them

Sometimes the Portal takes you favorite figures a little at time... at first. One day you can't find a glove or boot. The he seems to be missing a gun or sword. Its amazing you don't see it coming, but one day the entire figure is just gone. In fact, you haven't seen him for months or even years. The Portal got him a long time ago.

Fun read. I managed to hang onto a lot of my childhood toys, but there's still a fair amount, like a bunch of Mego WGSH that I remember having, that seemed to vanish into thin air. It's always bugged me that I don't know what happened to them, I completely lost track of them.

My own "Portal" was little brother. He got all my toys from childhood. I distinctly remember giving him my Star Wars stuff, 24" Shogun Warriors Mazinga, a boxed Kraken from Clash of the Titans, Evel Knievel motorcycle and Dragster, Ideal Karate Men, Big Jim PACK, Bullet Man, Mego Spiderman and Micronauts. As little kids are prone to do, they were traded, lost or left at a neighbor's house.

The Portal didn't take all of my toys, a lot of them should be on my parent's attic... should be, haven't checked in quite a while... uh-oh...
