Neat story. It must have been fun cleaning up after the dog the next day. "Where'd this red boot come from?"
      It's all good!

Never mind the Megos or the fact that Mom looks like Sigourney Weaver, I want that Christmas display!

Great story. And one to which I know many of us can relate. I still have a pretty vivid memory of my little sister holidng the corpse of her gaint plush bird after I pulled it away from our sheep dog. She was standing there with supine figure in her arms, traumatized by it's opened stuffing innards and quietly crying, "tweety."

          That's actually pretty sad.

What a great story. I feel so bad for her though. I truely am in Love with my MEGOs. I could only imagine what she went through. She should definately pay this place a visit. Maybe she can rekindle her Love of MEGO

Wow. Why do those kind of scars never heal?

I kid you not, my bully cousin destroyed my newly Santa-brought Six Million Dollar Man one Christmas at my Grandma's House and my Folks, on the spot, made Christmas a nuclear- family-only celebration for many years after that. (Mainly because my bully cousin's bully father destroyed his little brother's (my Dad) Christmas more than a time or two.)

                      I can sooooooo relate.

I had older cousins and bully type cousins all living close by.

                      Here's one quick story....

My Apes Megos I got for Easter.... I absoutely ADORED these things. My 2 cousins, one 3 years older, my Aunt and myself and Mom went to the beach in July. I brought my beloved apes to play in the sand as I'd seen in catalogue ads. I'm sitting in the sand, happily capturing my Astronaut with the Soldier Ape, Zaius and Cornelius when my older cousin comes running out of the lake toward me. He snatches all my apes figures and runs back to the water, swims waaaaaaay out deeper than I can swim, dives down and buries my apes in the sand. I bawled and bawled... I never saw my apes again and my aunt did NOTHING. You'd think he would have had to work his *** off to get the money to buy me new ones but nadda.

I got new ones many years later but I'll NEVER forget that. I've since forgiven him but I'm still a little bitter. I LOVED those apes.

Wow, I got lucky. The worst thing any of older cousins ever did was not let me play with his GI JOE VAMP Jeep!

Oh man, that's so sad. I remember my dog ate my Barbie doll's feet before my brother resuced her. But later on my foster sister from Africa, cut the sides of her hair, giving her a pseudo mohawk, and I had to comb down the sides to cover it up.

The worse thing that ever happened to one of my megos, was my 3 3/4inch Decker...the kid next door chewed up his hands then tossed him onto the porch's roof.

2 years later, Decker was recovered, and the kid claimed it was HIS!

I bided my time, and waited... and snatched him back one day I was over his house after school. I still have that chewed up Decker too. It's a matter of principle now.

                              LOL. Great story.

                              Here's another....

My first WGSH was Robin when I was 5. That Xmas I got Superman and finally Batman and the Batmobile....I was beside myself with joy. Mego Batman is and was the be all end all for me...These were T1s. This factors in below...

Boxing day (Dec 26) my cousin comes to visit (different cousin than the one above) We play with Bats and Supes. My cousin says:"Superman can fly" and throws him. SNAP! Hand breaks off. I freak, he throws him again! SNAP! Other hand breaks. I lose my mind, he runs out the back door of my house and pitches Superman out in the yard...somewhere in the snow.... Several year later, Superman was found under some old piled up wood. Elastic is gone, suit is ruined.... Had Superman been a T2, he might've survived or at least his hands wouldn't have broken so easily. Different Aunt, same scenario. She was there the whole time and didn't even offer to replace my Superman. Same cousin broke my Atomic Man the day I got him. Same result. None.

I had some serious jerks for cousins and oddball Aunts it seems. lol
