Props to John for paving the way, it's a great book. However from a content perpective I think the Museum galleries cover things more completely than that book. That's nothing against John, it's just time has passed and we've updated as new information has presented itself.
So if you just don't want to spend money on a book, spend time looking at your Museum galleries.
Personally though, I had to have it, as well as Ben's book.
I've stared holes into my copy, it's a great resource.
