Ok, this is funny, more rummaging through my files. This is a psycho Batgirl painting I did 3 years later. I think it's ink and acrylic. But it's almost the same pose as the Batgirl trading card...

Psycho Batgirl indeed. She looks more like Joker's girlfriend than a superhero.
Those bigass batarangs kick butt and her cowl looking like a gladiator helmet is way cool

Just seeing this, Scott. Great stuff! Painting in gouache is not one of my favorites, so that makes me appreciate what I see even more!
              It's all good!

Thanks--I never took to gouache. You know Alex Ross does his work mainly in gouache?

Frankly, I never really enjoyed painting until I got good on a computer! I outta break out the brushes and see if I can do btter now that I seem to know what I am doing.

Yeah, Alex Ross's stuff is insanely cool. He really mastered that medium.

I know what you mean. Last canvas painting I did was a landscape for my wife's grandmother's house and that was in 2004. When one designs on a computer all day, it is hard to change gears when looking for hobby time. I agree with some of the others that the poster style of the first pic would make a good t-shirt design.

scott - your stuff is great - i prefer art that is not a direct depiction of reality (if i did i'd take a photo) so you mego collection painting is perfect.

people are buying and selling you MM cards on eBay your dida displayes are adored. you have a following here >why not put a few of your painted pieces up in the marketplace? obviously you wouldn't sell something of high sentimental value but I am sure there are people here who would add to your finances in exchange for original or print art.

i find 2 things sell art - if it is to the viewers liking, is the artist a somebody. in this forum you are both.
