If I recall seeing a previous post on this commercial, this was a industrial for executives? Not for the public? Anyone know the true story? That might be why they took to such odd descriptions. It's all good!Comment

I have this one on my Mego tape. And you guys should remember, this was the 70s. MLK had been recently killed, and any exposure for black people was pretty major. And yeah, they had some facts wrong. On the POTA one, Galen was the grandson of Cornelius. And they called Burke, Virdon. But still, great commercials!"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Yeah, that mention of Falcon as being a Black Superhero definitely sticks out today as being "what the heck?", but at the time, despite what we can pick apart from where we stand now, it was a good leap forward. Falcon was the first African-American Superhero in comics and he didn't have "Black...whatever" thrown into his moniker. Maybe Marvel (and Mego) was commercializing on what was transpiring in society, but remember there was a progression involved in getting to where we are today....and my Mego Falcon is one of my favorites! Whatever reasons were involved....I love that they made it.I have this one on my Mego tape. And you guys should remember, this was the 70s.
