Just can't resist a Mego in the Wild...

I went to the flea market on Saturday, and on a table, I found an Action Jackson. I don't actually collect them, but finding any Megos off the Internet and outside of conventions is such a rare event that I had to take him home. 5 dollars later, I had a T1, plastic-jointed soldier travelling in my purse, wearing a battle-damaged Army uniform. He was missing his belt, walkie-talkie, and both feet. But he did have his helmet and gun. I know I'm not the only one who can't resist the urge to give a good home to any and all Megos they see in the wild...

Thats the danger of finding a mego out in the wild, some are way overpriced, but you do find a few at a bargin price, so thats the thrill of finding a mego in the wild you never know which you will find either an corny in bad shape for $ 65 or a kid flash for $5

Always nice to rescue a poor lonely beat-up Mego and fix 'em up. I can re-build him!!

I saw a few Megos at a Show 2 weeks ago -- but they were all beat up and overpriced, so none came home with me.

Seeing one in the wild (especially here) is always a treat... until you see the price (well, sometimes)

Nothing like seeing a mego in a store, and buying them. Makes you feel like a kid again.

Last in the wild was a cpt kirk with shredded uniform, and no accessories. The dealer wanted $35.00 for him, since it was a collectors item.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Why do they always think Kirk is so valuable, no matter how beat he is? There's a guy at our local flea market who always tries to sell me a nude one, with a broken leg for $10. He seems to think it's a bargain, and if I don't buy it soon, he's going to put it on eBay to make some real money on it.

I love finding megos in the wild. The last one I rescued was a couple of years ago. It was a Glinda with just her dress at a flea market for $3. I didn't care it was Glinda. Just felt good to buy one.

I always feel obligated to buy 'em when/if I see 'em. That especially goes for what I like to call the "Charlie Brown" Megos: you know...like Christmas tree Charlie Brown chooses in the classic TV special. All it needs is some love! LOL! TLC does a LOT for Megos!

I found a one legged nude Batman in a pile of Lord of the Rings (new ones from ToyBiz) figures for $1. It's fun to find them in the wild

I know what ya all mean. I've seen beat up soldier apes for $50.(and passed)
Did come across a complete Kirk for $16. Made the 6 hours of walking around in the sun worth every minute!
