    Re-Mego of the Day: Khaaaaaannnn!

Another highpoint of the year had to be this awesome addition to the Mego Star Trek line made possible again by the good people at EMCE.

Another awesome figure! One of my favorite Star Trek "Megos". A simple figure with alot of class.

One of the most exciting new releases in a very long time, together with Sulu, Chekov and Gorn

I find this figure interesting because it's the first time James Brady went back to an early work and re-sculpted after he refined his talent. The difference is amazing. Looking at his original Khan sculpt side by side with the one he submitted to EMCE, and you can really see how far he came.

Wouldn't that make a great title for an adult movie!

I bought Brady's original Khan from Dave at Mego Meet this year because I
wanted to able to display how a custom figure turns into a production piece.

There is a lot more slickness to the EMCE Khan head.

Just a guess here but I'm thinking this is what got Mattel on board with the WGSH relaunch. I know if I was them and saw this this great sculpt,I would have jumped on board.

As much as I loved it,once I came face to face with him in the wild he was too red and I decided against it.I wish he would be reproduced in proper coloring. The same as Scott.
Could be one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made or just a minor blip?
Either way it was really great to see a custom figure see the light of day!!!

I don't think we can consider this a repro since it isn't reproducing something that was already made. This is all ORIGINAL!

Good point. If Khan is a repro than any 8" figure made today is a repro... in spirit (stylewise) but I am very happy that this original was made!

Unless you wanna consider copying a custom as repro then yes, this is very much all original. And I hope we get to see more original Treks using Brady sculpts

Doc I would love to see photos of the side by side, if you can swing it....because I've gotten bit by the sculpting bug.
