Re-Mego of the Day: Graveyard Zombie

It's October after all and the spotlight should go on a few of the more ghoulish things produced in the last few years, like the graveyard Zombie from EMCE's "Night of the Living Dead" line of figures. Not a license Mego would have jumped on back in the day but one that makes sense now.

He's one of my favorite EMCE figures, really captured the Mego design sense.

I'm a big fan of the black and white version of this as well, but I always have had a thing about grayscale.

The color version would make a good Doctor Who Turlough custom

See, I hated the B&W version because the Zombie looks like he's wearing
lipstick and eye shadow. Bill Hinzman is creepy-looking enough without
going transvestite - even if he is an action transvestite (Eddie Izzard).

I don't own this but as soon as I get a chance, I have to get this guy. I think I like the white-haired version better, but I'd love to own both someday. A great figure all around from the looks of him.

The B&W version was very limited to something like 100 pieces
                              for one show in L.A.

It is rotocast vinyl like the regular head - my guy in China did
it as a favor but was not happy about it.

Good luck in finding one - I doubt we will ever make them again.
