Spark Plugs are pretty easy to change out B ....
I am kinda glad there are not to many Toy Shows here, that I am aware of anyways,.. I'd go Broke. There was this really cool Antique store I used to go to every weekend... They always had boat loads of new & used Toys..., I used to spend most my Pay checks there, & have little else for anything Else.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
always trading for Hot Toys Figures .Comment

Cat you've got to get to Parramatta one day, I hear it's been improving over the last couple of years.
I had a bad case of remorse about 10 years ago when a mate told me about a bunch of stuff I would have bought had I been at a particular show, Six Million Dollar Man boxed and carded stuff with Toltoys stickers IIRC.
I cured myself by not missing a single show in the last 10 years, and usualy taking a stall as well to make sure I was in early for a bit of a look around, just for good measure

Long Island had a good show at the Freeport Rec Center once a month for years.
I started going regularly, then taking a table there. Then just about the time
Dr. Mego began, the show stopped. Another casualty of ebay probably.
It is a shame. I would really love to have a steady show nearby to attend
faithfully. Maybe someday the shows will come back after the people are
driven away from ebay.Comment

There's a twice-yearly doll show here in York that I have been going to for more than 20 years. It's mostly a Barbie show, but I've managed to find all kinds of things there over the years because there were usually only a few boys toys type dealers set up, so either they'd have bargains because it's a more girly show, or the girl doll dealers might have something but not know what it was and sell it cheap. Not much buying competition when you're one of a dozen males in the building at any given time.
The past three or four years have been fairly dry. I've found stuff like old carded BTAS figures for $2 each (remember when Penguin was a $100 figure MOC?), but for the most part, the boy toys have fallen by the wayside. There's maybe one guy selling boy's stuff... even the Dragon/G.I. Joe dealer has gone completely Barbie on his table. It's at the point where it's not worth going, even though it's a ten minute drive through town from my house and less than $5 to get in.
Last time I went to the show (maybe a 12 or 18 months ago), I think I was there all of fifteen minutes before I walked out in semi-disgust.
It's not even that eBay's hit them that hard, because the building is still full up with dealers. It's just one of those shows that's become like an antique mall. I recognize the same old ladies setting up there with either merchandise I'm completely disinterested in, or old loose items selling at MOC prices.Comment
