    Mego of the Day: Humanoid

Mego of the Day is the incredibly elusive, foreign exclusive figure from the 1980 Walt Disney film "The Black Hole". A background group of characters, the humanoid is of particular interest to collectors due to figure only being sold in Canada and Italy.

        Hmmmm....

It always seems odd to me how much these go for, considering how long they warmed the pegs around here when I was a kid.

I had my 20th high school reunion this past weekend and I drove past the supermarket (still open) where my parents would reward me for being good on our weekly grocery trip with a Black Hole figure. I got the whole set that way (save for this one of course).

I must have passed by this figure at close out prices a bunch of times back in the day. If only I would have known!

This is a figure I have always wanted from Canada. I have only seen it once in person many years ago and I passed on it . I always get haunted by the one that is always on ebay at 9 grand. I always wonder if that's about the only one carded around.
