I regularly drown peopl...uh....figures in my bath tub.
What has worked fine for me is just soaking them in lukewarm water with some mild soap in it. You can clean the heads easily that way.
For the outfits, gently "massage" them in the soapy water, then let them dripdry on top of a towel.
Do not machine wash/tumble dry them.
Do not iron them. Unless you want an Iron Man shaped plastic blob burned to your ironing set..

I have used a soft bristled brush, like an old toothbrush, and warm soapy water to wash faces. Just a light quick brush usually cleans em right up. Obviously you don't want to scrub much or the paint may start to come off. I think a Qtip and water would be fine, maybe even better than a brush. I'd be nervous about alcohol on the paint, but it may do the trick."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment

For clothes, I handwash them in Woolite Zero with warm water (I let them soak a bit in the solution first, depending how dirty they are, but only for an hour max, usually less). Works great, and it's very safe for the clothes. I then flatten the clothes out and put them between towels to dry.Comment

Oxyclean in a tub for a few days will take out most of the dirt and ink.
I like to wipe the heads off with Windex on a paper towel.Comment

When I get a quaility pre-owened, FANTASTIC - HIGHLY COLLECTABLE - MEGO ACTION FIGURE. I put the clothes in the washer, buy them self. And take them out before they start to rinse. I will rinse them in the sink. I do this even with the SuperMan and Roin. What very little fraing happens, I trim with the sissors. I use a toothbruh on the head, with dish soap. And I will touch up with paint. The little bottles you get at the comic shop or gaming store GAMES WORKSHOP is the brand. This blends in perfect! It's not sticky, no brush strokes. It will wear off, if you play ( inspect) your megos alot. If so, do it again. And get some quaility Repro stickers, and turn a SUPER TURD into a SUPER HERO !!sigpicWho stole my stuff !!!Comment

Ahum, I mean, drink beer and chew tobacco, shoot squirrels, ...
Seriously.
My wife once put a whole bunch of vintage Action Man outfits in the washing machine. They came out all ragged, with all the iron-on insignia gone.
Ruined..
