    Buck Rogers Galleries Updated

Thanks to some great submissions from Chris Jefferys, we've got a complete section for the Buck Rogers 12" figures. Come feat your eyes on what is honestly one of the nicest figure sets ever produced by Mego.

Be sure to scope out the other Buck Rogers Galleries for never before seen prototypes and rare promotional material. It'll have you typing "biddy biddy biddy" into your ebay searchs.....

    Cool update !!!

    The Draconian Guard .....

His sculpt seems to have a familiarity about it.

Was it a resculpt of something existing ?

He seems to somewhat resemble the 12" Luthor but seeing as they had the same sculptor, it's possible it's coincedental:

        I can see that.

I was thinking since the Draconian Guard is basically the only generic character in the line, Mego might have phoned him in from an existing sculpt.

very nice update. And thanks Chris.

I recall watching BR at the drive-in as a kid. There was a screening of Harryhausen's Jason and the Argonauts on the opposite side of the parking lot and I remember being torn about which screen to look at. I am pretty sure I opted for watching the Harryhausen out the back window while listening to the tin speaker blurt out the 'biddy biddy' lines.

As a result, tho, I did not ever recognize half of the characters in Megos line and passed on them in favor of more Star Wars figures. Looking at them now from the Mego angle, I am quite impressed. So, once again, thanks for the updated galleries.

Wow, good work, that was fast, I just took many of the pictures yesterday! (about a month after I promised them to Dave though, I'm afraid I work much slower than the powers that be here )

I'm very happy to help out with this, I love this line and if this can inspire other people to start collecting these guys, great!

These are great to look at. In 1980, I wasn't spending much on toys back then, so while I remember wondering if I should get some of those guys, I never did spend my bucks on Buck.
                  It's all good!

Not to take anything away from them as they are nicely done, but I can't help but wish they were in 8" scale instead of 12". I just cant seem to get into the bigger figures in the Mego lines but I do have my eye on the Superman Movie ones. Just wish there weren't so many graying problems out there on some things.
