POTA BOXED GENERAL URKO 3 TUNIC VARIATIONS- Lizard Skin

    Hi.
Recently acquired a sweet mint in box General Urko with LIZARD SKIN TUNIC from a woman whose grandmother collected dolls in the 60's and 70's.

    Here are the three variations:

    1. Lighter Blue Tunic
    2. Standard Navy Blue Tunic
    3. Lizard Skin Tunic

Sent this photo to Brian for consideration in the Mego Museum POTA gallery.

The one on the left looks like the standard navy blue tunic, the one in the middle looks too dark to be the standard version.

Those are really cool, and the boxes look great. I really have to get some boxed apes one day.

Amazing!!! I never realized the different outfits all came in the window boxes. Getting one is tough enough!

              Thanks for sharing these.

The majority of soldier apes seem to have a darker navy blue (standard) color tunic, unlike the lighter blue one. Therefore it would seem that there are more of the darker blue color tunics out there than the lighter blue tunics. Thus ,the reason for referring to boxed Ursus #2 (darker blue tunic) as the standard navy blue issue tunic.

Here is the museum photo of the soldier apes. The lighter blue tunic soldier to the right of the grey/silver solider ape seems to be less common than the darker blue tunic (standard navy blue) depicted on the far right soldier.

Looks like Mego gave up on making the General Cuffed tops...interesting. Either that, or they just had too many Soldier Ape outfits left in the warehouse and needed to clean house.

I recently had a boxed General Urko with the cuffed outfit, so that makes 4 different tunics in window boxes.

Is the Lizard cuffed tunic crazy rare ?

I can't imagine ever seeing another one except the one posted above.

Until recently I never knew they made them boxed. I like these so much more than the carded figures.

I don't see any cuffed lizard in any of the pics in this thread but now that you've mentioned it I don't think I've EVER seen a cuffed lizard tunic???
                          Do they exist??

                            Ooops,
                            My mistake.
At a quick glance, I thought the one in the photo was a cuffed tunic with no gloves.
                            My bad
