Marty Abrams and Mego?

I am wondering: where does Marty Abrams fit in all this? (or not)
Will his "re-acquiring" the Mego brand have a future, or is the future now firmly EMCE/Mattel?

I'm really excited with the latest developments, but was wondering if that previous big announcement will now just be a thing for the history books?

I'm also very curious but I do admit with all of the excitement about this announcement, I am much more stunned at the moment at the prospect of new Megos (Mattelos?) soon to be available in stores. With or without the name, the spirit is still there and the cycle is beginning again!

Right...Marty went out of his way to get back the Mego name...but I seriously dought, Mattel is going to want the name "MEGO" on their Packages.

Good question but something I personally was afraid of asking.

I didn't want to appear to be prying into Marty's and EMCE's business matters.

A lot is going on - and as you can guess - I can't go into details.

As Joe said in one of his posts, Marty was in part responsible for
us and Mattel working together. He and Ken have been very
supportive of EMCE since the beginning.

And as we said in the Toyfare article, now that he has the MEGO
name back, we are happy to become the new MEGO when the
time is right.

I am still at Comicon today and will be working on that timing.
