I'm personally not interested in politcal figures and I honestly can't see there being much of a market for it. I don't quite get this.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
While I agree it's not exactly Star Trek, I think these will sell OK. Since I've posted, people have been emailing me to get some put aside. I'm not even selling them.

I can see a big market for mainstream political figures. A Bush, Carter, Daddy Bush, or Obama figure would make a good series. Also a Bill and Hillary 2 pack with a chase figure Monica Lewinski would be cool. BTW I'm not being political at all. I plan on buying the Obama. He is pretty well done. I'm just not real happy that I'll have to get him from a scalper.

No scalpers needed, there will be plenty of the regular figure to go around and HIA will also be wholesaling to retailers. You'll get him for show rates or possibly less I guess.
As far as being part of a series, it isn't to my knowledge. The next thing for HIA will be completely different, familiar, yet original.

Not so much a fan of this particular figure, but it's cool to see yet another 8" player in the market and the idea of them releasing other stuff in the future is thrilling
