Canadian Boxed Spider-Car

Mark Schmidt sent in photos of this rare item, a bilingual boxed Spider-Car from Parkdale Novelty. Previously it was believed all Parkdale did was sticker the US packaging, it seems that they also did a run of their own box. Thanks to Mark for sharing this northern rarity.

I agree, I got one for Easter '77 and need to dig up some pics. This is likely the box I got and it's very exciting to see it surface.

Thats the same box mine came in (still have it). Never knew they also used the US packaging with just a sticker? Doesnt surprise me, mind you, but I thought by then Canada was getting everything with Canuck approved packaging.

Sort of a related question...The Grand Toys 33/4" Spidey car. In Canada was this car ever released with the Spidey Goblin figures, or just with the Spidey/Hulk packaging?

I think hes getting ready to flip off Batman, who hes finally managed to pass after several miles of being stuck behind the Batmobile, while ol' Bats lopes along 20 km/hr under the speed limit with his left turn blinker on.
