I know where the Travolta proto is and the owner says it's a great likeness.

To bad they made the Doc. Movie so campy, what a hit it would been if they made it like " raiders of the lost ark" style.(which was a tribute to the 40's serials)

I always though that you could take out Indiana Jones in of Raiders of the Lost Ark and put Doc Savage in it

I only saw it on TV, so always assumed it was a tv pilot....It was pretty cheesy for a tv release...cant even imagine them having the balls to release it in theaters. I do recall that at the very end, Doc is Christmas shopping and another adventure starts and the words Next Episode: Doc Savage and the Something Something (dont recall?) came up on the screen. Probably another reason I thought it was made for TV.

I watched it in the theater when it came out and liked it. I watched it later and can't figure out why I liked it. It was a little goofy and the special effects sucked. I always thought the Jet Jungle looked like a Doc Savage picture. The fittest man in the world and man of bronze, one and the same?

Who knows with Mego, they could have made a load of Doc Savage prototypes and then one call from South Africa and hes turned into Jet Jungle. Its happened before, didn't Iron Man supposedly start life as a Dr Doom prototype?
