Hey,
Somehow managed to have this Saturday off, so I decided to drive the 3 hours north to Knoxville to visit with Luey (Greg Mason) and take in the AdventureCon show.
Had a great time. Not a bunch of vintage toys, but plenty of things to keep me happy.
Some pics of the convention hall:

First on the list - Mick Foley:

Always been a big wrestling fan, and he was pretty cool. Got an autographed pic for ome of my techs who loves him.
Then on to William Katt:

He was blown away when I told him that the prototype Ralph just went on Ebay for $4400. He also got a kick out of the figure and signed it for me - one of the nicest guys you could meet. His line was very long, but mainly because he talked for a long time with everyone that came up. Really really cool.
Then on to the Back to the Future Delorean Time Machine:

It was pretty cool. For $15, you got to get pics sitting in the car, with all proceeds going to the Parkensans Research Fund. Got a cool poster and flux capacitor pin as well (geeked out, but loved it).

Something you don't see everyday - COBRA talking to Star Wars.

There was a whole contingent of Bobba Fett wanna be's there - great group.

Finally, the two intrepid toy explorers hike off to a local eatery to sit back and relax.
Had a great time. Got a couple of small items, autographs, and my boxed Boss Hogg Cadillac from Luey, which made the drive back after I figured out my air conditioner had conked out worth the trip (man, that was very hot and sticky, but I'd do it again in a minute).
