Old school Mego Museum--the first page

I stumbled across the very first Mego Museum page the other day going through some old Zip disks. Unfortunatly, the images are still missing, so it's not super exciting, but it's a curious thing to see. I included some screenshots that Rob Chatlin saved of some other early Museum pages. I have to believe someone out there somewhere downloaded the whole site....Anyhoo, turns out I was wrong about the November 1996 launch date, it was earlier.

Aw Man, that brings me back. So much left to discover and we were just babies.

I gotta dig around my computer some more, I know I downloaded the old library five years ago, maybe I have some of these....

I miss the page that had a parade for the 25th anniversary of WGSH.

13 years ago, and it seems like yesterday.

            Scott,
when did you debut the granite busts?

The Museum has certainly withstood the tests of time. Here is to many more great years.

Amen. God bless the Mego Museum. It is so cool. And useful. And educational. And nostalgic. And COOL!

                    Thank you all.

I also like that "etched in stone" graphic at the top. It looks like something that might be found on the Planet of the Apes. Where did that come from?

I think I first found the museum when I was in college in the computer art lab. It looked just like that! Then the cool busts came! It was years before I ever ventured into the forums.

                        Thanks Scott...for everything!

when i first saw that, i was stoked and it really brought back some cool childhood memories. i couldnt believe that other people shared the same joy of megos as well enough to make a web site about it!!
