    Greetings and Need Advice

    Hello fellow Mego persons,
I'm a newbie here. quick question. Can any of you recommend or discourage the Mego repro parts offered by Classic TV Toys? Their prices seem to be very reasonable, but I noticed the bodies are quite a bit lighter in weight and kinda loose.

    What about their replacement boots?

I don't have any loose CTVT's myself, but many here do. There is actually a forum hewre that discussed them at length. There may also be some threads dealing directly with quality if you scan through. Or you can just post there and I'm sure some could help you. Good luck

    BTW, here is that forum

          Welcome Aboard, timb!

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from CTVT over the last few years. You are right about the bodies, but the heads, outfits, boots and other accessories are largely pretty good in my opinion. I usually buy the complete figures and swap the bodies out with Doc Mego or genuine Mego bodies.

I've heard horror stories about the CTTV bodies and I just don't see it. While a bit lighter in weight, the ones I have all have tight joints and are just fine. COmpared to Doc Megos they are slightly on the scrawny side, but overall I've been impressed not only with the quality and price but also their customer service.

The accessories are hit or miss, but mostly hit. I order boots form them and most are as good if not better than other repro stuff that is twicew the price. However, you occasionally have one that is off-colored or slightly imperfect.

It's a good store to deal with.

            BTW, welcome to the board.

The MegoMuseum's Accessory Check pages goes over all the repro parts and compares them to the original part. It describes the differences in the parts, and any problems they have.

The repro parts are actually pretty good, though the female bodies are pretty awful. And welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard timb. If you need repro bodies, go with either Doc Mego or Cast-A-Way cause the CTVT bodies suck, their accessories were OK tho.
