    A Small Lesson in Patience

One of the many bits of advice I picked up here was patience. There are some Mego items I simply jump on. However, with the more common Megos, I set a price I want to pay and then wait and wait until I get it. And it just paid off again

I only needed to boxed figures to complete the American West line- Buffalo Bill and Wild Bill Hickok. I saw them on ebay, boxed and still bagged. I set my usual $40-ish snipe and waited. Now, realize I have lost out on these figures SO many times I even considered a $100 Buy It Now on a super minty Buffalo Bill, but passed. Well, I won each for less than $30 and they are fantastic. Even the boxes are very good shape, one being a solid C-9.

Now I just have to figure out if I will take them out of their bags to display as originally planned.

    Very nice, Bill

If the bags are not sealed, I would take them out for display.

I now exactly which ones your talking about. I had them on my watch list. I was gonna bid but I decided to go for some AHI figures instead. Patience definately pays off. Congrats on getting some great looking figures

Ugh! I've been looking for boxed westerns but I only remember to check now and again. I'm glad for you, but jealous you grabbed that at such a steal!

I'd keep them bagged. Bagged and boxed. Loose westerns aren't too expensive so you can always grab another loose figure and display him in front of the boxed and bagged guy. That's what I'm doing anyway.

Don't worry about it, Dave. Part of patience is not obsessing to the point you're checking ebay every day for a laundry list of wants. I only looked every now and then and got lucky.

Me too, I gotta check for these more often so I can finally finish my set. I wish I noticed that Wild Bill.

I opened mine up. The accessories were stapled in a bag, but I just carefully opened the staples. I could always reclose everything if I really wanted to.

Congrats on picking these up for such a great price.

however, I am growing impatient to see some pictures of your completed Western figures.
