If the Dc characters get done, and do well, and by God, why won't they? Marvel might very well come in too at some point, they'd be stupid not too, course they haven't exactly been smart lately. Movie wise yes, comic books no. Toys, eh....... put em all out all of 'em then I'll push for new ones, then I'll push 7-11 for the retro superhero slurpee cups.. ok I'm getting ahead of myself...Comment

AWESOME! I should have voted for Paul for President!
I will get this magazine today. I have heard the story that Marty Abrams was in Hong Kong when someone came to his building to sell a Star Wars license and since Marty wasn't in, they went downstairs and sold it to Kenner who had offices in the same building. Is that right?
I hope this works. I'm in Mego mode now. I've spent or am spending real money on my Mego collection in hopes of the project I've been thinking/dreaming of forever. I hope this works.
I'd like to see them make more improvements to the Trek line, like Black Phasers, real Disruptors, the right "Phaser belt" with the Comm in back...
Could they do the Dida Displays?
Does Diamond collapsing have an impact on the licensing (another thread asked about that).
Could Mego rise again and acquire the necessary licenses to eclipse it's former glory?
I'm not going to be able to get back to bed...
If Mego comes alive again, they do need to sell loose things like everything on Doc Site.
Good luck and God bless you all. This is such a cool thing. The coolest thing ever
P.S. It says Marty's son was approached but then Marty Abrams is mentioned. Marty is still alive right? There were references to him getting the Mego name back, right? I hope. LMK. Thank you all. This is the best website on the internet. Really. Think of the contribution to Mego lore, history and rebirth.

Great Article. It doesn't say they have DC, it looks like they were given a roadmap that they are following to a tee. I'm looking forward to seeing the Mego name on the shelf again.
BTW, is it just me or does Kirk look like he's doing the chicken dance in that one pic?sigpicComment

Type3Toys
I have to say this.
If Mego is reborn, I would like to submit that they get with John Farley at http://www.type3toys.com/.
I don't own one of his figures yet, but they look incredible and one of the problems toys have had since those nasty little Star Wars figures ran roach-like over the planet surface so long ago, is the rise of the "Actionless Figure."
Megos rules. Micronauts maybe ruled more. My cousin had all the Trek, Pirates, Knights and Micronauts I think. I had a few of each myself. But Mego deserved to rule the world then and now.
So if they come back, with an even better, more poseable, more Action-y, cloth-dressed figure that can change costumes, etc. They should lock up the market.
I hope.
Just a thought. I mean, if they come back, they should pull out all the stops and have the Retro Cloth line going on for however long, and then just crush everyone with the best thing they can make.
Even though Micronauts were cool, and you could carry a few dozen to your friends how to play with, 8" Megos were the perfect size to play with.
My cousin and I had an adventure where Kirk was stranded on a planet for a week (this took a real week of our life as I recall, one summer) and he had a Klingon with a broken leg so we broke the other leg and made a "midget" and for a week or so Kirk was stranded on this planet with "Shorty" and we had tons of fun. Shirts off at the beach, etc as I recall. Not possible with smaller figures. Can't make them swing on ropes etc.
So there is my thought on "Actionless figures" and why Mego should rule the world and I can't wait to see what happens. This is just awesome news. My 10 year old likes the Spock I gave him. I should buy him Pirates or Knights and do an adventure where the Enterprise meets the Space Pirates... HMMM...
Bless you all. This really is...words fail me.
(Well... more words fail me because I've used a lot here already and -- )
I'll shut up. But in the last few days I've ordered/acquired or I'm waiting to order 15 megos, suits for 4 guys, Disruptors for 1/2 Dozen Klingons, the 3D Chess set for the Enterprise...and Burke Chairs which I almost forgot about.
It is just too exciting to explain. This website needs a flat out "Donation" button like from PayPal or something. Incredible. Sorry to gush and get off topic.

I'm sorry to be a downer, but is posting a scan of the entire article on a public forum the best way to thank Toy Fare for their free promotion?
The print world is having a hard enough time paying the bills without being ripped like that. Maybe just one page would have done the job and encouraged people to actually buy the mag.
