Thank you so much for sharing that Doc. I wish all the best to EMCE/MEGO in their future endeavors. I am very excited to see the great news that awaits us for the future. Let us just hope that Mego has learned their lesson not to make the same mistake(s) as they did in the past.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Hey Doc there appears to be some stains on page three right near the Kirk figure.

Didn't realize you were that big of a Shatner fan.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Interesting article, thanks for posting it.

Looks like the editors/proofreaders were confused about how to spell "Fonz" though.

                      Cool article.
Maybe this isn't the place for this question but when (notice I didn't say "if") Mego starts putting out toys again will they be available on store shelves? Are there plans to have Megos in Target and WalMart and Walgreens and Kmart? I think that's a big part in the road to success and also to keep prices affordable by getting the production runs up.

                        Great article.
If I'm reading correctly, Marty is saying Mego did pass on StarWars. That contradicts what he's been saying for years. Its also the first time I've heard Heman was the final nail in the coffin.
The part about how his dad started in the toy buisness was very interesting, I'd never heard it before.

Marty did not say that Mego passed on Star Wars - that was the writer
of the article drawing that conclusion.

The only way that Mego could have gotten Star Wars that day was
if the person - who told Fox's reps that Marty was out of town - had
signed a contract in Marty's name.

And I doubt that was a business practice in those days.
