Weren't the Pet Rocks supposed to be out by now?

I thought Marty's new Pet Rocks line was supposed to be out by now as a TRU exclusive. I haven't seen them and they aren't on TRU's website either.

I did come across what looks to be the official website.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

You mean to tell me that they are actually seriously thinking about bringing these back again? I thought that it was a joke when I first read it. I must have skimmed over the serious part of that original post. ????

These have been in my TRU for a few months now. They are located on a peg rack near the high school musical stuff in the store near me.

No way. This is huge to Marty. He made no secret of that in NY. He was putting his heart into this project.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Ah, cool, I've never seen them in person.

My TRU also has them on a peg near the HS Musical and Hello Kitty stuff. To be honest, they didn't look to be flying off the pegs.
              It's all good!

Looks like Marty just had one of his "Pet Rock Scavenger Hunts" in NYC this past weekend.

I see now that this was no joke as I had first thought. I also see that these will also be going towards a good cause. I wish Marty all the best with his newest endeavor.

The Pet Rocks are in TRU and now going to specialty stores. The 12 characters are going to be retired soon "the molds are going to be locked in a vault never to be used again" and the next 24 will be coming out for fall. Each rock has it's own Facebook page so Marty is staying ahead of the curve pushing their social interaction
