    Does someone make Superheros repos?

I want my 3 year old to start enjoying the pleasure of action figures. Do they make repos of the vintage stuff like CTVT?
I am proud to be Americana. In today's society, I would be considered folklore -Me

Some of the recent Hasbro 'Mego-style' figures might do the trick...Cap, Daredevil, Wolverine, etc.
No exclusives and no chase figures, please - I'm Canadian!

Repro. A repo is what they did to my '78 Pacer.

No one has released totally reproduction Mego superhero at this point, but you some of the parts suppliers have reproduced so many individual pieces, that you can put together a completely reproduction figure. For example, you can make a Batman, Superman, Robin, completely using Doc Mego parts. There are several others you can make if you have an original head.

Of course, it can get pricey putting together figures from parts like that. Probably cost $30-40 depending on the figure. In many cases you're better off just buying a half decent original on ebay or here in marketplace and letting your kid play with that. That's what I did.

If it's for your 3 year old, try looking up Marvel Famous Covers or Secret Origins. Famous covers were from the late 90's, I think, and Secret origins were from just a few years ago. Both have reasonably priced figures and lots on ebay frequently. DC also had figures made by Hasbro around the same time.

My 4 yr old and I just put together a really cool looking Superman from Dr. Mego parts. It was a quick fun project and he could not be happier with the end result.

The problem with that though is the age of the original toys. As we all know as plastic ages it breaks down and bleeds chemicals. So unfortunately most vintage toys are probably not actually safe anymore for kids to play with. Especially very young kids that still put toys in their mouths.

There's plasticizers bleeding from the figures, aging dyes in the fabrics and maybe even some lead in the paint. That reminds me, don't the metal joints of T1 bodies contain some lead?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
