    Books about Megos

    I have,

the Greenberg's guide to Super Hero Toys by Steven H. Kimball which has a small section on Megos.

And of course Mego Action Figure Toys (3rd ed) by John Bonavita and Mego 8" Super Heroes: Worlds greatest Toys! by our own Benjamin Holcomb.

Is there any other important Mego publications that i am missing that I should get and are there any new Mego books on the horizon? (Huckabone?)

Yeah I would say that the Bonavita Book and World's Greatest Toys are must haves.

I'm also a big fan of John Marshall's "GI Joe and other backyard heroes" and his "Superhero Toys" book which features nice shots of Rob Chatlin's collection.

Both books are no where near complete when it comes to Mego but it's a fun smattering of stuff and I find myself reading them as much as the others.

It kind of is, I was asked to help out but it's not my news so I'll wait until it gets announced. I actually have another publication to announce next week too.

That's pretty cool news on both counts Brian. Looking forward to hearing about it.

There's also the book by Couch, which blows but at the time was one of the first ones out there.

One is pretty cool, the other one I'm announcing next week isn't anything in depth, just some words and photos by me for one of the majors.

I will definitely be looking forward to seeing what materializes in the near future.

Steve's (Wildpony) book about Star Trek stuff has good Mego stuff in it.

Huckabone was probably early on in the game. He did a section on Megos in 1992's Tomart's Garage Sale Gold.
