Is it laziness or just dishonesty?

This seller says no stains and all the figures are in nice shape. Check out the General's tunic and left hand. Is this just a lazy seller who is obviously blind or just trying to pass off something that is obviously stained and has a broken off finger? It seems we are getting more and more of sellers who leave out pertinent information or just try to get over. I see it all the time on Ebay and on the net.

I've noticed that forcing megos to hold accessories that are too big (that club), is what breaks the fingers. It's unfortunate that people fail to mention critical things like that broken hand. Or they say things like "for being 30 yo it's in nice shape" even though it looks like it went thru a garbage disposal.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."

"Let the buyer beware"...most sellers just want to sell their stuff, thats why this happens a lot

I haven't bought anything in awhile but it seems like the last bunch of items I bought were not as described...significantly not.
I guess I can take partial blame for not looking really close at the pics because once I received the damaged items, it was quite obvious when comparing to the auction pics but they all said "excellent condition", etc so I foolishly took their words for it. Most of my last ebay purchases involved partial refunds due to misrepresentation. Really leave a bad taste in your mouth. Luckily I don't have the funds to be buying stuff right now because it sounds like it's still the same or worse.

I'm not quite sure how you can tell anything from those pictures. I don't see any stains on them. I do see shadows. I don't even see broken hands.

Here's what I do know about selling on Ebay... there are MANY OCD collectors out there in the world who expect everything to be absolutely perfect. Megos are in fact very old and they haven't been made in over 25 years. Finding perfect specimans out of their original packages isn't very likely. I'm not saying impossible... just not likely. That's kind of what makes them collectible and valuable.

I get scared to sell stuff just for this reason. My definition of what is "good" may not be the same as your definition of what is "good" and if you look for flaws you will certainly find them. The seller of those apes does not state that his apes are great, perfect, exceptional, etc. He calls them nice without stains. That appears to be a very accurate description of them. If there are stains and broken parts then he should have also mentioned that. I cringe everytime I get an "OCD" collector asking me about something I'm selling... I just say to myself oh you're one of those and hope they don't bid.
