Action Jackson Military Uniforms

As a former GI Joe collector, I'm really kind of excited about collecting a bunch of Action Jacksons and outfitting them as military guys. I see that Mego made an outfit for all of the 4 main military branches, plus a couple other things that could be considered semi-military (such as the frogman outfit). Question: How easy or hard am I going to find it to find the military stuff, especially the Marine, Air Force, Navy and Army outfits?

Fortunately, almost all of the AJ outfits are pretty easy to come across. With the exception of the soccer outfit, you can get each for pretty reasonable prices.

Yeah i was a Joe collector as well,so i was excited when i started to

the uniforms run $10-15 shipped on ebay I was able to get most over the last year (except the marine) for $7 each

Just have to be patient. There are sellers trying to get $25 each for AJ outfits. I pass. You can get them for as little as $5 sometimes or if you are really lucky you can get a nice unplayed with one complete with a figure for $10-$15. It's all luck for the lower prices.
I wouldn't pay more than $10 unless I really, really wanted that specific outfit. Seems like the Navy one and the orange frogman one pop up way more than any of the others.

Just be advised: there is no AJ Marine. He is an Aussie (Australian) Marine. So if you buy that outfit you might want to track down an extra Army soldier helmet.

The card {BLISTER PACK}items are harder to find carded,
and contain some nice items like Rifles ,with and without magzines.
most are military, except for tennis , golf & fishing .
one AJ carded military set contain a really neat hooded combat overcoat. and pants.

Didn't I read somewhere (here?) that the carded uniforms are actually too small for AJ to wear? But, yes, one set has that cool BAR-type rifle.

Ok I'm a bit confused, then, as to what this is:

That's my fault. I should have been more specific. There is no boxed Marine. That's a carded Marine but I've never seen one of them or any of the carded uniforms. Maybe I should try to track that one down and hope it fits AJ.

Yes and No. Really depends on who made them at the factory. Early on even with boxed outfits it seamed there was no quality control with sizes.

Ok, so I'm guessing then it might be smarter, if I want a Marine, to do as you said and find the Aussie Marine uniform and then a spare Army helmet?

Yeas i have one it simliar to the army unifom but in camo, and the helmet is soft plastic.

I'll vouch for that. I haven't even been collecting these that long and even I have a few duplicate pieces of clothing that are so tight you can barely get them on AJ and others fit perfectly. In fact I was looking at one pair of pants and wondering if they were for Dinah Mite they are so tight! LOL
I have one sailor shirt that I couldn't get on unless I removed the head first!
