    Which Megos Look the Most Authentic?

    So in my quest to decide which Megos will be the first ones in my collection, I notice that some of these guys look very authentic and very close to the characters or actors they were modeled after. Others.....not so much. So I'm just asking for opinions here: Of all the Megos made after comic book, TV and movie characters and even real-life people, which ones do you think did the best job of looking like who they're supposed to be? And which were the cheesiest?

    I am not a Mego expert, but for my two cents, apes would be the cheesiest, and Trek would be the most accurate (except for Uhura).

    To do list:
    1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
    1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;

      The Trek figures have a great likeness to the Star Trek show.

        I meant to post my own opinion....I think it's hard to top Spiderman, who looks dead on like his comic-book counterpart.

                  I remember as a kid, I had Cap and loved him (gotta love the shield). I remember noticing the uniform differences you mentioned, but I always just pretended like the superheroes just had a few different uniforms, some of them with slight variations.

                    I think the cheesiest is Gorn and the most spot on is (among many choices) The Tin Man. As a matter of fact, I think the WOZ figures are the most underappreciated Megos out there. I think the job done on most of them was great!

                        So true. I mean look at how well done the face is for the Cowardly Lion. The only one in that line I really don't care too much for is Dorothy. She looks too plain.

                          Aside from the Trek crew, which is excellent, I've always had a special place in my heart for the Mego version of Captain Marvel. Though the uniform is not really accurate, the face seems an honest and not-too-bad attempt to do a sculpt of a young Fred MacMurray, the actor on whose image CC Beck based the character.

                          With all that in mind, Shazam! is not only the most authenitic, but also the least.
