The one on the right (in the first picture page 1) seems like it is almost a 90 degree angle at the thumb. Dunno if that's proper for MEGO or not....

Had I known that this was an open auction, I would not have said anything. But I would have sniped. I guess for the greater good, it is an odd pair of Robin gloves that to my knowlege are very early. I've seen this type of pointed thumb glove for both batman and robin (all with one shiny side). I've discovered them early on in my collecting and a long time Batman collector told me they were first issue. Mind this was back before there was ever any mention of a type 1 skinny superman boot as well. But good for the winner. And yes, I am certain that they are real.

Just out of curiousity, and for future reference:
I looked at the auction pic and it would appear that one side is smooth and one side is textured. Are there matching pairs of these? In otherwords, if you put these on a figure then the palm on one hand would be shiny and the other textured. Were these made so that the other side would match? (boths palms shiny or vice versa). Did they come matched like that from the factory (if so)? or not?

They came like that. Most (if not all) of the gloves I found have the same side shiny and the same side textured.
