Today's Mego of the Day is master Showman and American Legend Buffalo Bill. If you haven't taken a good look at this figures, I assure you, do it now! They're well made, low priced and a lot of fun to collect.
The relatively lower price of these figures led me to pick up one about 3 years ago. Since then I've picked up a few more as the opportunity arose. They really are fun to collect and patience really pays off with this line.
You could see with these and the Knights how far mego had come. I would recommend you hold out until you can get one with all the accessories because thye are really well done.
I like this figure, it's one of the few carded ones I own. In related news. I live in Sheridan Wyoming, home of the Sheridan Inn, where Buffalo Bill lived when he was in town, and also interviewed various acts for his show. The inn is supposedly haunted, but not by him. It's a pretty cool old buildling.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
I like these, too. In fact I have two Buffalo Bills, one in each shade of suede.
It was kind of cool too, when I found out that one of them had a couple of
variations that were unknown at the time (holster permanently attached to belt &
leggings with no footies).
I still need a bunch of these western guys but I'm hesitant to buy incomplete ones
since some of the original accessories are hard to find.
Not sure what you're calling "cheap", though as I've seen boxed ones go for some money
but loose ones missing some accessories are plentiful.
