Hey MegoNutt. There are no silly questions here. If you are talking about WGSH, then there are rights issues, too. So that is why they haven't been re-made yet. As for things like Trek. Doc has used some of the original molds I do believe. Fabrics have changed over the years, and EMCE has a different build to the body, but they basically are the new generation of Megos.

I think everyone hit it on the head earlier. Having that same figure that you had as a kid or wanted as a kid if it is an original from your time and not a repro. It is magic. But they repros are great to play with, too!
    It's all good!

vintage MEGOS are always going to be the perfered item but the new ones will fill the gap for collecters who just want the figures and don't care when they were produced. They will also help keep the prices for vintage figures reasonable buy keeping down demand for them(If your collecting for investment, it will hurt vintage values)Plus the new stuff is great for getting kinds into the hobby.

I agree with TREKMAN101 on this one...the vintage will alway's be the preferred item as far as people like us are concerned and I'm not one to talk about the rising or falling of market value...but these high quality repro's that are being made are great instruments in getting the newer generation interested in these classic toy's !

And to add .......I'm lucky enough to have a five year old son who shares my interests in hobbies(trading cards, action figures, model railroading,Lego's and several more)all of which have repro's of their vintage stuff. He wants to play with all of them but knows some things can't be played with.Thats where the repro's come in.They let him experience what I did as a kid.I can remember holding my MEGO'S as if I just time traveled back to that point in time and thats what I want him to experience. Its great that all of the re pro's give him that chance.
