I was thinking she does toy shows from time to time, would it be worth having her autograph the card?

Would an autographed carded Isis decrese or increase the value?

I don't think that it would. I think it would actually lessen the value. I'm kinda curious what others think about this?

I would say it wouldn't increase the value one single bit.
As a matter of fact, a lot of people will tell you it would lower the value.
Do what makes you feel good, but if it was me, i'd have her sign something else.
Maybe a sweet 8x10 glossy of her in THAT skirtComment

In general, it tends to lessen the value. A Mego collector or toy collector is not necessarily a Joanna Cameron/Isis fan. However, many of us are nostalgia driven and you may find a person or two who would want it more. I wouldn't mind and Adam West signed Batman.
The again, if I did get one, I'd buy a second, clean carded BatsWANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

I got my Ponch signed last year,I'd say get it signed. There's millions of pics of hers signed out there, but how many megos? Maybe it'll decrease the value just a bit,but who cares,it'll be a super cool piece

It seems to me most pieces that are signed (anything) decrease the item's value with these few exceptions ....
1. If the autograph itself is rare --- aka, all four Beatles signing a Beatles album
2. If the person actually created the item --- A custom, a painting or statue
3. Sports cards --- Sports cards are the exception to the ruleComment

not really on sports cards unless it's a vintage one from the 30's-50's or if it's a signed card pulled from a pack that's already been authenticated
if you just meet a player and he signs a regular base set card,it's not worth anything except to you of course
I learned that with a Jose Canseco card in the early 90's"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

If it's for your own personal collection and you plan on keeping it get it signed. As far as value is concerned don't get it signed. For a Mego or toy collector it would lessen the value (as mentioned by others)but for a person who is a Mego and Cameron fan then it might increase the value. Although I'd guess she doesn't have a big fan following since she's basically known only for the Isis role. Me? I'd get a repro card or box and have it signed.Last edited by Marvelmania; Feb 20, '09, 1:56 PM.Comment
