1:9 Scale Horses for Your Megos!

Hey there to you all! I recently joined the forum after many visits and have enjoyed being a member. It's such a fun place to be and the best place to live the life of a Mego junkie! I love it here!

Anyways, I recently stumbled on to a web store that has the most awesome toy horses in the Mego scale ever! The company is called Paradise Horses. These horses are pretty sweet. They are completely jointed in the legs and in the neck and can even open their mouths. Pretty nifty I say! If you're interested in checking them out I've included the address for their page. I have also seen them available at the Target website as well.

    Enjoy!

These are neat. I don't like the hair though so I would probably remove it and resculpt it. I love how they are poseable!!

Yeah, I thought the price was a bit steep too and I don't care for the hair either... a good sculpting job does sound like a good way to go. They are out there for less in a few places, but are still in the higher $30 price range though. I still think they're pretty cool all in all.

Well if they have them at Target stores, too then it shouldn't be long before they start clearancing them out. Then they'd be like $5 maybe.

My thoughts EXACTLY. The price IS terrible. Used ones must be out there somewhere too...

The musculature of the Breyer traditional scale horses are better though. However, I do like the poseability of the ones you found. I wonder if there's a way to MacGuyver Breyer horses to add joints and provide mobility. Hmmm...

Don't need any right now but maybe in awhile.I'm still makiing my western figs (eight right now) so I will need horses but I don't think I'll be ready for horses for awhile.

If you think $40 is expensive - go to BreyerHorses.com :: Home to the World's Finest Model Horses - their prices
                      are even higher!

I am in Wyoming, and while I can't seem to find Megos anyplace, there is no shortage of horses. I don't think you can beat the "look", but the lack of any articulation makes them less desirable for me. I can find other horses that are in scale, but usually they have stupid looking eyes or long ridiculous manes and tails. Those ones first posted are cool, if you scruff up the hair, but I'd have to find a sale or something. I don't know why Breyers are so overpriced. They look good but there isn't much to them really. You can spend over 50 easily.

My real horses rub their manes on the fence, and chew off parts of each others tails.

Yes, Breyers can be expensive, but even if they lack articulation, their musculature is anatomically correct. And this is coming from a city girl...so take that with a grain of salt.

about 15 years ago a Hong kong manufacturer offered a knock off Batman riding a mego scale black horse that had battery operated Gallop.
                            that was 10.00 back then.
