Steve doesn't look to have any knee joints.
Is this the Ali style body?

I love that you could get all the team uniforms for him. As much as I love soccer, I think I would have loved an NFL version of this figure.

This is one of those figures I'd like to own just one to say I had it. He's just never presented himself so I could get it.

            I have a question .......

Was Steve Goalgetter made to be a foe to Franz Beckenbauer ?

I don't think so. Steve was a UK release while I believe Franz was a German release. It looks like the same body, so maybe it seemed to be a natural. I am speculating, so I could be wrong.

agreed, one in a Dolphins suit would look sweet

I believe this picture is the first time I've ever seen this figure in a proper Steve Goalgetter outfit! I've seen the figure in pics and live and in person before, but hes almost always wearing tattered old Big Jim (or in one case Atomic Man) clothes. I always assumed the original outfits were fragile, yet the picture looks like standard Mego craftsmanship!?

before i wanted to get him because he was mego, but in retrospect, although he looks cool and all, i'm glad i never found him!

I have one, and I like him. He's looking for a soccerball if anybody has a spare. Oh, and yes, his body is similar in design to Ali.

Edit: I'm wrong here, I have a Beckenbauer, and his body is much different than Ali. He has a lion rock body with t2 style (only bigger) arms and a swivel waist.
The head is also stamped lion rock. The legs are like Goalgetter with the rubber overcoat. I was right about the soccerball and I still need one.
