Mego of the Day: Ford Torino

Mego of the Day is the third star of the TV series "Starsky and Hutch" (sorry Huggy Bear) the Ford Torino. While Mego didn't exactly make it to scale, it was so cool that nobody really cared.

That is very cool indeed. And to this day, I do not know why I still don't have one.

Even though I was never a big fan of the TV series and action figure line, this is still my fav Mego vehicle of all time.

        Space?

It certainly is with me. Even though I have every other possible packaging combination of the S&H range the car/playset is one avenue that i am not driving that Torino down.

PS. My mate had a real one for a while - It is one big car.

A very cool car indeed. Nice to see a vehicle get the spotlight.

Me too. No S&H line would be complete without one. Besides it's just so cool.

I almost won one of these on Ebay once. I haven't tried for another one, but now I don't think I'd have the space to do it justice.

                  who needs space?
                  Park it in your garage.

I always like the vehicles. You just gotta have something nice to tool around in, even if you are only eight inches tall.

I do think that it is the Elite vehicle in the Mego world.

                      Totally, totally agree..

I'm not one into Mego vehicles, although I have admitted to a self-diagnosed 'vehicle-envy'.

That fine piece of plastic machinery ought to have a rightful place in any respectable collection. Especially with the Palitoy box..

I picked one of these up at a yard sale as a kid for $2.00. I still have about 99% of my childhood mego toys, but the Torino is long gone. Wish I still had it now.

Certainly one of my favorite Mego pieces. I got rid of all my other Mego vehicles. Batcycle is gone, even the Batmobile is packed up somewhere with the Enterprise playset. But the Torino is just TOO COOL to pack away or get rid of.

Mine has been fixed with new stickers, one day I'll get a nice one with original stickers, but regardless, it's just an awesome piece.
