Do You Appreciate Your Collection?

Thats a great subject . I appreciate all my collectibles. More so My Mego's. Sometimes it takes parting with them , and realizing the mistake , and spending years trying to recover them . I Appreciate them every day. Even the repros that replaced my originals .

I usually go take a look at my stuff every morning before I leave. I don't know why. I also clean pretty regularly, and re-arrange them, as I am not happy with my display set up. They are certainly not neglected, however I have tried to streamline my collecting so I only keep stuff I am psyched about.

Not as much as I'd like. Having it in 3 different places doesn't help. I've since started to box up my loose figures and put them in storage until I move. I can't wait to the day I have it all in one place, displayed in some manner. I think then I will really be able to appreciate what I have acquired over the last 20 years.

I appreciate my collection. Everytime I go into my toy room, I have to sit and look at my collection. I can just sit there for a 1/2 hour and just look at the figures and enjoy them. It is funny because my mom likes to sit and look at them too.

Its the ones that I have packed away that I really think about selling, since they are taking up closet space and not being enjoyed. But, I never get around to digging them out, photographing or when I do then I decide I like them too much to sell and back in the bins they go!

I wasn't appreciating a lot of my collection 5 years ago - so I sold off alot of the baggage -> 90's toys. I still have some of that stuff left in the basement to get rid of.

Sometimes sitting back and just staring at my collection on my shelves and walls around me is the only thing that brightens my day. Unfortunately, much like everyone else here, I don't have the space or time to display all of my stuff properly, so alot of it does get shoved aside and forgotten about to some degree. I keep telling myself that this year I'm going to work on getting new shelves and display cases so I can set everything up properly. Unfortunately other household bills and needs tend to take precedent.

There are times when I'm feeling down and worried about money that I'll consider what I could get for my stuff.....but truthfully I don't have alot of really rare or high-end pieces, so the amount of money I'd make on all of this really wouldn't be worth it. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself
