I think they enhance the "eye value" of your collection and when a piece looks good in a nice box(even when you declare it's a repro), you can get a little more for it then you would if it were just plain loose. But other than that, it doesn't increase the value "book" wise.

I didn't start reboxing to add value as i'm pretty sure what dollar value added would be very slight at best but i think they inhance the look of the figure and also protects the figure and prevents little parts from getting lost plus they sit on the shelves much better and look really cool a boxed STAR TREK figures looks awsome lined up on the shelf in there window boxes and having a boxed GREEN LANTERN is priceless

I wouldn't want repro packaging because the repro packaging would bug me constantly.
It would bug me knowing it's a fake --- just like a Conan with a DM sword.

To each their own ... But not for me.
I'd rather my figures were loose and incomplete -- but 100% real and true

True and i respect your opion but it bugs me to have an incomplete figure so i'd rather buy a DM repo part then have a swordless Conan or a helmetless Thor the DM repo parts will do till i can find the real deal

I'm not a packaged collector, but I do like the look of some of the packaging. After I ran out of shelf space I decided to hang some of my stuff on the walls and bought some repro packaging and some clamshells. It makes a nice display which for me personally enhances my collection.

As for actual value, in the few instances I've sold a nice complete loose figure on a repro card, I have found that I've gotten more for it packaged up on a repro card, however when you consider that a repro card with clam usually costs around $15-$18, I don't know if the increase in sales price really makes a profit.

In the end, it's whatever makes you happy when you look at your collection.

Here's a great plug for Mego73. He makes some Really Great Repro/Custom Boxes. I recently got an Iceman for My Custom and its AMAZING. I am ordering more in the next week. If you decide to do so check him out. He is a great guy, and is very talented on the boxes. I am going to post my experience and show a pic in another post later tonight.

It's going to be ultimately based on your taste. I think you'll be Happy you did , because it will protect the figure to some degree as well as add some asthetically pleasing appeal. It might gain you in $$$ as long as your honest that it's Repro. I am just not sure how much though.

I don't have any repros but I'd definitely pay a little more for the same figure if it came with a nice card or box.

I agree , I would pay slightly more to have a loose mego on a repro package. I prefer the boxes over the cards though.
