    Mego Planet of the Apes?

Hi, I'm a new member and I only have 2 loose Planet of the Apes figures. Cornelius (Or Galen) and General Ursus. (Ursus was not complete. He didn't have the bracers or the knife. But he did come with the Belt and an Action Jackson gun)

Anyways onto my question. How many people out there have any loose Planet of the Ape mego's? I would be willing to pay a total of $14.99 for any figure that you may have. I'm hoping to create a whole set of Soldier Apes. Led by General Ursus and Urko! I want a total of 3-4 Soldier Apes.

Anyone have playsets? I'll be willing to pay $20-25 for a treehouse! :D $15.00 for Ape City.

Anyways. If anyone has anything that they're willing to part with please let me know.

(Btw, I'm a new member and I'm 12 years old..Hope to see you all here on the forums!)

    dude,

you could probably get the new EMCE apes for about that price $15-$20.
it will probably be easier than trying to get originals. check your local comic shop. they could probably order them for ya or go to Dr. Mego's Repros .

    right on.

I have those. Cornelius and Soldier ape of the re-made figures. But I don't get the same feel of a classic figure.

Galen, you have great taste then, wanting the originals. I would love to see your army someday. I was going to have an army, too, but decided it would take up too much space.

So now I'm going to have a highly skilled specialized gorilla force of not more than 10.

And regarding Ape City, it's more fun to get crafty and make your own (at least for me). You should definitely try it. It's really really fun.

Mego Lives and It Will Live On!

The new wave of Mego done by EMCE Toys is great. Yes they are not the original but they do carry the classic vintage legacy. Mego lives on and then some!

I have the EMCE figure of a Soldier Ape..I might add him to the Army just because I'm a bit too lazy...:P

I had my hands on a general ursus...I didn't realize how valuable and rare he was until I checked the forums..:( Bad mistake.

All of the Soldier Ape Varaiations are good. As far as they all go, the silver Soldier Ape is the hardest to find.

Mego used prototypes in many of the commercials. The one that you speak of has not ever been identified. But you never know.
