Request for help - catalogs and ads.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but here goes.

My biggest childhood passion from the 70's is the old Aurora prehistoric scenes model kits.
So much so, that I have a section of my site devoted only to them and all infromation I can find about them. I've done pretty good with packaging, instruction sheets, and trade publications.
Where I am severly lacking though, is old store catalogs and store fliers.
Aurora Prehistoric Scenes Models - Advertisements

From browsing the museum, and looking through posts here, you guys have a wealth of those type of things though.
All I am asking, is if you happen to spot any Prehistoric Scenes model kits in any of those, could you please let me know.
Scans/pictures would be awesome, but I don't expect anyone to go through that much trouble. I would just be happy with learning about the apperance and some info like year/company/page number.
That would give me something to go on to track these things down for my personal collection. As it is, there is just way too much out there for me to be able to afford to just buy catalogs and such and hope I find an ad in it.

On a related note. To show I am not just here to ask for stuff, but to contribute as well. How do you send things to the museum? I looked but saw no way to send in images that may be usefull.
I have a 1974 Wester Auto christmas catalog with some Mego stuff.

Palitoy has a couple of things and can keep an eye out. I'd also recommend Ray Miller, he's got a really nice bunch of info from those kits.

                Ray is lurking around here?
                Cool!
Ray and I have been corresponding and exchanging emails since I got online back in late 1999.
Matter of fact, got an email from him a couple months ago.
I should have known with his interest in Micronauts that he would be here.

As for the item I would like to contribute to the Mego Museum, it can be grabbed from my site here
                http://www.tylisaari.com/misc/catalogs/page23.JPG

                It's from this catalog

And for whoever wants it, either for the the museum, or for their own personal files.
Here is the link to he full sized scan of that page at 300 dpi.
Be warned though, it weighs in at around 2 megs

                  Thanks.
I have actually had some good luck there.
Marvel didn't seem to have any, but I have found 3 different ads in DC comics.
I think that's it for DC though.
Each ad corresponds to when new kits were added to the series.

Also have one from Famous Monsters magazine.
And another ad for the Monogram reissues from a DC comic.

But as I find time to read through my comics and magazines, I do keep an eye open.

                    Good old Western Auto

I forgot how much stuff I used to get from them.

                    They also took green stamps

Good stuff -- thanks for posting

Wow, I haven't heard/read anyone asking about these "Prehistoric Scenes" in such a long time. I still have mine - in their boxes.

I can totally relate. I saved all my boxes, etc and would still have them had we not moved across the country in 1979 and I had to get rid of almost all my toys.

Wow, I had a few of those when I was little. I was able to snap them together but not old enough to paint them.

                              I definitely had:

                              Cro Magdon Man
                              Flying Reptile
                              Tar Pit

Thanks for sharing! Brought back memories
