That about covers it. I had a write up about it somewhere, but it's gone missing.

The first page in 1996 looked like this.

        Scott,
Was it really you who designed all the marble busts ?
When we updated about 6 years ago and I tried to reproduce the busts for the expanded Action Jackson and Dinah galleries, after about a week I still wasn't even close to being happy with the results.
Brian used them anyway, but I still hated them.
        You did a great job.
Sometimes I miss the marble Museum look

Cool! You know it was 1996 when you see Netscape as the browser.
          It's all good!

            Yeah, good ol' Netscape!

Mike, the whole marble look was inspired by a trip to Ceasar's Palace. I liked the velvet ropes, myself.

I was looking for that missing page Scott mentioned because I remember a longer one that he did a while ago; my memory's pretty bad about timing, but it might have been around the time Scott did the last sitewide redesign.

Those Museum history pages should be somewhere accessible because they are really important, not to mention cool.

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

The new design is great, but I really liked the marble and the busts. It gave the place a real museum feel.

Originally it was used by the military as a form of communication in the event of a nuclear war.

When that threat no longer seemed likely it became a great place to talk about and trade dollies.
