Salt water + Enterprise Bridge playset don't mix

Here is what my once C8/C9 MIB Enterprise Bridge playset and StarWars movie posters looked like after being under the storm surge salt water from hurricane Ike.

I am sorry for your loss, R.I.P.

Insurance for that and of course everything else that was damaged??

      Ouch.

Mice got my Star Wars posters which were rolled up in a tube in my attic!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

No, actually I had an appartment behind my parents house. Snake Farm insurance along with every other insurance company are redefining the word storm surge to have the same meaning as a flood to get out of paying under peoples home owners policies. We had a 20 foot storm surge drivin by the winds from hurricane Ike. All but 14 of the 4,000 homes in my city went under water and none of my belongings were covered under the flood insurance policy.

oh man I can't find words ... I know there's more to life than our collections, but if you are like me all the time and effort I've put into it ... it's more than just a hobby. and then how the insurance ripped you off. all I can say is I'm sorry

Thanks, I will use this as an expensive learning experiance. From now on I'll have seperate collecters insurance on everything I own, esp. any car that I've done anything too.

Sorry for your loss man. But I hate to tell you, all insurance policies state that they do not cover for loss due to an overflow of a body of water, whether driven by wind or not. So they are not ripping anyone off, it's just one of the exclusions. Collectors insurance is the way to go though because even on a covered loss, there are limitations on collections.
