Thank God for EMCE Toys, Dr. Mego and CAST-A-WAY Toys!

Just received the last two figures from the EMCE Star Trek retro line and the very first two on the EMCE POTA retro line. Boy they look so good and perfect! My only concern is that they are only showing four figures for the POTA line and no hopes on a General Ursus or any of the human astronauts. Not even the generic Astronaut figure. C'mmon if you are reading this, I know you can make them... And you know we will buy them...

Now, CAST-A-WAY Toys... Just received the Captain Action and Dr. Eville Mego-Like figures. Only one word... PERFECTION! Well, there is also...FLAWLESS! And also, ... let me stop here. I'm a huge fan of you from now on. I've also signed up for the early bird The Phantom figure. And now the really challenging ones: 1) What is coming up next? and 2) Dr. Eville has a removable mask... Why not making character figures with removable masks as well? I'm a huge Mego fan and working towards completing a Captain Action 12" characters collection. CAST-A-WAY Toys definitely blend up the best of two worlds! Keep them coming!

Will definitely be too bad if the Apes line doesn't continue, which seems the case will be. I was really hoping for a reproed Ursus and interested in seeing new characters introduced ala the Trek gang.

as a new mego collector ata young age of 23 i first got kirk at a hastinsg i couldnt believe i found him--but i left him came back next weekend--he was still there so i bought him....i was hooked. better then ctvt i started collecting starterk-----and now planet of the apes. i too want dr mego to continue the line...i been obbess with apes but never got figures of them now after getting these two i have a hunger for ape emce megos! really if fox allows d.r. mego to make more i'd be the happiest guy! we seriously need the rest like the ape generals.

Doc Mego has said that those 4 Ape figures were the only ones authorized by Fox so far. Any more Ape figures will have to be okayed by Fox. So far, they aren't interested in doing Generic Astronaut or specific ape Astronauts. But if sales are good? Who knows.

I'd rather see the great publicity EMCE is getting from reissuing old lines expand them into new ones.

Given the choice ....

Would you rather see the Apes line 100% completed --- or --- would you rather see something totally new and different ?

I think reissuing Mego's was a great start for EMCE, but i'd hate for it to end at that.

It's certainly a new age in Mego collecting. Lots of "new" stuff out there over the past couple years. What these guys are doing is pretty dang cool, whether you like the products or not. To manage to get new megos factory produced is no small feat.

I'm looking forward to new product lines from both of these groups.
