I was thinking of ordering a few things to put together a few figures as a gift. I've actually never ordered from CTVT before, so I don't know anything about the quality of their accessories. I know that their repro bodies have been a problem, but what about basic parts, like gloves, boots, etc? Also, do they ship promptly? The site says 3-9 days.

i've ordered shoes and shirts from them before and they are very fast shippers! no problems!

Accessory Check has pics of all the CTVT product that is an actual Mego reproduction. Quality varies although most of the parts are safe. Some have some flashing problems though.

I have seen some flashing on the boots, nothing that cannot be trimmed. The green male gloves I just got were fantastic. The blue ones and female gloves are fine repros if a little on the shiny side. Service was lickety split. I even got some extra boxes. I asked for a set of Robin Hood loose and ended up with a set of RH in slightly dinged boxes. Nothing you can tell if they were on the shelf. Only saved a couple of bucks there, but it is an awfully nice gesture and less guilt for waste if they just rip the figures out of the boxes to sell as loose anyway.

I do not like the bodies. Torsos and arms are fine. The pelvis makes the legs do reallly weird things. The legs themselves are ok. the hands and pins are pretty bad. Many times the wrist joint is not exactly center on the pin and the hands fall off when you move them. The heads are slightly smaller than mego (at least at the post) and you will have to adjust that somehow or they are a bit wobbly in a mego body.

For the price and customer service, they are a great buy. They might not last too long in a real play environment, but with a little surgery they are as good as new. Accessories like swords and bows and pistols seem great to me.

Except for the issues mentioned with the bodies, I have been very happy with all of the CTVT items I've ordered, and the prices are hard to beat.

I ordered and sent paypal very early one tuesday morning and my packaged arrived on wednesday. all the items i got seem good qaulity but i had a time opening up and putting the green gloves on robin. but once on they look great and won't be played with.

i did have a problem with 2 female body suits. they just weren't long enough. was way too tight and looks too thin and barely got them onto the shoulders but leaves a big gap around the neck.

I've placed at least 10 orders with them since February and have never had a problem with any of their accessories. Great prices and super fast shipping. Truthfully I never had a problem with their bodies either but because of their "tightness" (pee pee stance) I replaced them with Dr. Mego bodies.

all ctvt jumpsuits are alittle tight on classic megos since the CTVt body is slightly smaller dimentions than it mego counter part. cut the toes and that should resolve the issue ( the body suit can be slid up and holes in feet are hidden by the shoes or boots

I just wish they would answer an email properly.
I sent them an email with no response. A week later I wrote another asking why no response. They said resend email. I did. I had a bunch of questions about specific items and they responded with one sentence which did not address any of my questions.

Well, so far the transaction is going well. I completed the order this morning and by the time I got home from work, I got an email that my stuff was shipped. Another thing I liked about the site is that it's able to save your shopping cart for a few days. I don't know how many other sites do it, but it's a nice feature so I can add stuff later - which is what I did, as I looked at reference pics and incomplete figures and found more stuff that would come in handy.

I just got my order today, after placing it on Thursday morning. I have to say, I am very happy with CTVT. Their selection is slightly limited, so there are a few repro pieces I couldn't find(such as a Batman belt and yellow Robin one), but you can't beat their prices. And whereas the last pair of repro green gloves I got(not sure where they're from) weren't properly fused between the thumb and fingers, these are nice and solid. A little shiny, but well worth it. My Aquaman looks great with them. And I'm so excited about being able to send my cousin(a potential new collector) a nice-looking Batman and Robin at a good price. She's going to love them!
