Sometimes when I am dropping a stitch into a split seam, re stringing a type one body or fighting to put on Batmans oven mitt glove I think about what went into the birth of a Mego figure back in the 1970s.
What actually went into stitching a suit together - was it done by a person sat at a sewing machine?
Were T1 bodies strung and tied by hand?
How was the head inserted?
How many Green Arrow quivers broke on the production line?
How were the elastics of a T2 body fastened?
Would a stubborn glove hold up the production line?
Hope you see where I am coming from - It would be a marvel to see a Mego born and I'd just like to understand a little more about how it was done and the complications that could arise.
