Looks like GI Joe was there too!

I rode on a friends Snow Wing a few times. It would throw you off every time you tried to turn. The wing would dig into the snow and stop while you continued off down the hill. Great times.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Always interesting to see what else is included on the flyer. I remember those Chip Away statues. Something I haven't thought of in ages.

I'm guessing you got a regular AJ and not one in the snowmobile outfit.

You'd think they'd have given AJ some gloves in some of his outfits?
That fire rescue one with the aluminum foil suit is just begging for gloves.
Those would have been deserving of the 'oven mitt' designation!

I love the Wolverine All-Steel Kitchen playset, but All-Adamantium would be better. The claw marks really make it fun.

It's nice that you could get a free AJ w/ the snowmobile. So many times you heard "Figure not included" in the commercials.

Right there with you, Rich. I really miss toy stores like this. It's just not the same walking down the aisles of Target.
                      It's all good!

What you got with the Chip Away toy was a mallet and a chisel, and a block of "stone" which was really wax (I think) molded around a solid, plastic "statue." The concept was you would use the little mallet and chisel to "sculpt" the "statue." What you were *really* doing was knocking the wax off piece by piece until the plastic model underneath was revealed.

I never had one but I always assumed the stuff was a lightweight plaster-like material? It was wax?
I like to look at the prices of some of that stuff and we think it was cheap when you think of today's dollars but some of that stuff was a bit pricey. If you could get an action figure for $1 and that chipaway was over $4, that was a lot for that toy. That's probably around a $20 toy today.

Your definately Right about the Price. Not only was it Pricey but it's just a Statue you can play with only once, because after it's out of the wax, thats it. Where as with an Action Figure you can have so much more Fun
