The final piece in my Starsky and Hutch jigsaw.

It's probably been a good 18 months since one of these turned up on Ebay but I have finally added the Palitoy Starsky and Hutch twin pack to my collection. A nice little (partly) hidden auction caught my attention and so the watch began.... Starsky and hutch action figures on eBay, also Vintage 1977-89, Star Wars, Action Figures, Toys Games (end time 10-Nov-08 18:00:00 GMT) No mention of Mego or Palitoy and the box was only pictured in the listing and not in the search results. Funilly enough there have now been three sold within the last 2/3 weeks and an empty box auction still running.

Needless to say, I am super pleased. They haven't been played with although sadly the guns are missing, but the big bonus is the original flyer for the car. I have only ever seen the flyer in John Bonavitas book and can't find it in the museum - a scan can be forwarded if anybody wants to add it?

Here they are with their friends...

Finally for those shoe fans a little ongoing debate about footwear may be settled as Starsky came wearing mocassins over the top of the white booted Space 1999 legs.....

Nice Snag Paul! We do have one on the museum but it's no where near as nice as yours, trust me, I own it. If you want forward shots of yours I'd happily add them.

Hey that is pretty cool. Congrats. I got a loose clean almost complete Starsky (no gun) for 8 bucks in my local shop, and picked up a pretty good loose Hutch. Now I guess I have to get the Torino.

Neither did I. Love the artwork, and the Space 1999 legs.

Not trying to throw a monkey wrench into your theory but correct me if I'm wrong; these figures were not sealed in any way (like on a card), right?
If that's so then that doesn't prove anything. Anyone could throw a pair of mocs on the guy.
Maybe he thought it looked better.

To be fair Rich, these guys appear to have never been played with, and whilst your comment is true, I find it highly unlikely that somebody searched out a pair of moccasins as a kid when there was very little in the way of reference material in the 1970s. This set came from the attic of somebody who owned them from new and not a collector so as far as i'm concerned he came exactly as pictured. To back this up too, most mocassins take on a left and right shape once introduced to a regular Mego foot - these ones have no obvious left and right shape.

Maybe we will have to agree to differ on this one?

Oh I believe that could totally be 100% original. I'm just a very skeptical person and like facts. If they were sealed on a card I would have no doubts whatsoever. Since that's not the case I'll stay on the 1% side of the possibility the mocs were added.
So you get 99%. fair enough? LOL
                            Rich
Hmmm...then again, couldn't someone open & reseal a card without leaving any damage? LOL
                            OK no more skepticism.
                            LOL

Congrats on the pick up Paul. Packaging wise, the figures were sealed seperately in bags with their guns, with a packing card seperating them in the box.
